NewsSelwood Extends Telehandler Fleet October 2007
Selwood has recently taken delivery of 35 Manitou telehandlers that include units with reaches of 5, 13, 14 and 17 metres. This brings the number of Manitou telehandlers in the Selwood hire fleet to 100 out of a total hire fleet holding of 250 telehandlers. Keeping pace with the many different market requirements for plant machinery, Selwood has realised the benefits of offering a wider choice of equipment. With the telehandler playing an important part in the Selwood hire fleet, the selection of Manitou complements the existing holding of Merlo handlers. Selwood recognises the versatility of the telehandler on today’s busy building sites and offer the Manitous with a variety of attachments including buckets, skips and road brushes. Jon Sendell, Operations Director of Selwood, commented, “we are delighted with the Manitou telehandler. It is important to be responsive in a fluctuating marketplace and with our goal of further expanding our hire fleet, Manitou offer good lead times”.
