Selwood Road Show a Huge Success  December 2007


The Selwood Road Show, organised by and held in conjunction with Hyundai at Sparsholt Agricultural College in Winchester recently, was extremely well received when prospective customers were able to see and operate a wide range of Hyundai excavators and wheeled loaders.

Despite a wet couple of days and with little notice to organise the show, Selwood Sales Managers John Knight and Paul Callaway, both based at Chandler’s Ford, were able to persuade as many as 50 high profile customers to attend the event.

As a direct result of initial interest from the show, Plant Sales have sold two Hyundai R55’s, the very latest Hyundai R80-7 and a Yanmar B25 to local companies.

Commenting on the machines, John Knight says the priority that Hyundai puts on maintaining high quality, meeting customers needs and low total life costs is very encouraging. He added that as well as their construction equipment division, Hyundai Heavy Industries manufacture over 80 supertankers and container ships a year and engines up to 193,000 horsepower. This expertise is certainly reflected in the attention to detail on the range of Hyundai machines that Selwood sell.
