New Application for Old Workhorse April 2009

One of Selwood’s original pumps has been given a new lease of life. Selwood’s PD100 Spate is a positive displacement pump renowned for handling dirty water, slurries and light and heavy oils.

However, with the introduction of new thinner polymer for ground stabilisation applications, the pump has proved ideal for pumping polymer and was first used for this purpose by Selwood’s Spanish distributors ABIN in central Madrid.

This self priming double diaphragm pump gives a laminar flow that ensures the polymer is not sheared and therefore retains the full flexibility of the material without losing its properties.

The Spate may not have changed much over the years but it can still tackle and out perform most of its modern competitors’ equivalents.
